Through the country

What a beautiful country !
Touristy and expensive but beautiful !

And again so many things to do, we didin´t know where to start after the Kitesurf.
So we tried our traditionnal Beach-Volcano-Beach...

Starting by Bahia Salinas beaches, ones of the fews unspoiled beaches in Costa Rica, maybe due to the coldness of the water...

Then we drove to Lake Arenal and his vomiting Volcano. The Red Jeyser of Lava were impressive, especially at night.



Following the road going south we spent a night on the top of Volcano Irazu -enjoying the refreshing night due to the altitude - and admire its craters.

It was time to go back to our beach and we stopped in Dominical on the Pacific coast where Steph learned, managed and mastered Surf in half a day thanks to her great teacher Matt !



The nice road on the coast led us to Corcovado National Park, supposely one of the best in Costa Rica. We hiked a little bit on one of its trail before coming back on a boat to enjoy the scenery. We were happy to have a very nice running 4WD for these ¨roads¨ !



Though, we were a little disapointed and prefered our Bahia Salinas on the top west corner of the country...

Before crossing to Panama, we found a very nice bay - beach where we plan to come back on our future boat... The town is called Golfito, but don´t tell anybody.

KiteSurf in Costa Rica

After an early start from Nicaragua to cross the border we still had to wait 3 hours to get to Costa Rica.
Then after a really quick drive we found THE spot to KiteSurf :

A nice italian guy made the perfect KiteSurf resort on this windy bay. We took 4 days of lessons - our birthday gifts- and stayed on the parking lot of his hotel, enjoying the company of the other Kitesurfers coming from everywhere.



When we were starting to understand how we had to manage the Kite + the board, it was time to go on and visit some others very nice attractions in Costa Rica.
